So I created a paper pattern from the plans, and then adjusted it to fit my plane. I gave this to Brad of Brad's Upholstery in Lancaster, MA. We chose some light tan aircraft grade fabric, and I had him make both front seats with 3" foam on the bottom and back. I have enough material for the rear seats too, but I'm holding off on making those for a while. The seats are one piece, formed to the fuselage bottom and held in place with a few spots of velcro. It was kind of expensive - about $590, but it'll only be about $300 to finish off the rear seats. They look nice and are very comfortable. Maybe 2" foam on the bottom would have been better - there's not a lot of room for the thighs between the seat and the instrument panel. We'll see how it goes, and maybe modify them if necessary.
