Thursday, after putting some heating blankets on the micro since the wing was stored in a cool place, I stayed late after work and reminded myself just how much I hate sanding :-). I was not willing to use a power sander to do the contouring (although some of the really good bodywork guys do that), so I spent 3.5 hours hand sanding everything with a sanding block and 40 grit. I got the contouring pretty good, but there were many voids and pinholes, and I still had the rear of the lower winglet and the "patch" to micro. By 8 PM I was too beat to do the next round of microing, so I left that for Saturday.
