Cozy MKIV Builder's Log Book - September 1998

9/6/98
  1. Test fuel tank to 1500 ft. pressure - all previously found leaks fixed - new leak at rear top of inboard diagonal bulkhead - flox and BID will fix
  2. Test fuel tank leak after grinding clear

9/12/98
  1. Test to 1500 ft - find leaks at tank cap and sender
  2. Lithium grease on cap and gasket sealant on sender
  3. Retest to 1500 ft. - still slow leak
  4. Level fuselage

9/20/98
  1. Remove fuel valve from line - cap line and retest to 1500 ft.
  2. Move table - switch to left side wing/strake assembly

9/25/98
  1. Still slow leak - fill tank with water - pump to 1 1/2 ft. water pressure - use manometer instead of altimeter - pop top of tank off of R33!!!
  2. Cut open top of strake - sand and trim for fixing
  3. Cut rest of LWA9 bushings to length for wing and spar

  1. Finish fitting strake top for repairs
  2. Flox in position on R33

9/28/98
  1. Glass 2 BID on repair bottom skin
