Works great. It uses less than 4 amps. Basicly, it consists of two (redundency) heaters wrapped around the existing pitot tube, and a thermostat to control the heat. You can retrofit a existing system, or install it in a new plane. I tested a mock up for over 400 hrs in my deep freezer. The nice aspect of this system is that you have nothing to change in your plans and it is not visible (all components are internal). On a new plane, it should only take 20 min to install. My long's nose was damaged so it took about 1 hr to intall and repair the crushed section. In the interest of keeping the mail list non commerical drop me a line and give you the price (about 1/4 of a Wicks) of my pitot heat kit.
