From: "Sammy Williams" Subject: COZY: Two Engine Cozy (defiant style?) Date: Tue, 27 Aug 1996 08:58:59 -0700 Has Nat or anyone else considered the installition of Two engines on a mark IV like the defiant had? Is this possible to do without redesiging the entire a/c? The idea occured to me while watching a movie on t.v. it would seem the idea of two engines would help when people like me want to load the plane full of people and luggage.mabye the second engine would help with lifting the heavier loads with a penalty in econimical operation range etc. with the defiant out of production this would be a good idea? Any opinions on this are welcome..I just thought to present my idea or a twin engine cozy to the group for discussion thanks Sammy Williams soon to build a canard =) Date: Tue, 27 Aug 1996 16:52:48 -0400 From: CheckPilot@aol.com Subject: Re: COZY: Two Engine Cozy (defiant style?) It looks really cool, like a mini Defiant. I don't know the disposition of the a/c since the late 80's but it was in Southern Cal the last I knew. Downie's book talks about it. Minus 200 or something? Total re-design. Think stress and CG.
