Let's face it, plane building is not the cheapest of hobbies. An easy and fun way to save some money while building our knowledge is to sign up at a local community college in the machine shop program (assuming, of course, you have one nearby that offers such a course). I have been able to make many of my own parts which are not difficult to do. I now have access to a machine shop, have learned a lot about machining and have given myself an alternative to Brock. I highly recommend this to anyone building a plane, even a composite. Paul Stowitts Cozy Mark IV #200
