Subject: Saving Money

It seems most of us builders are looking for ways to save money.  Let's face
it, plane building is not the cheapest of hobbies.  An easy and fun way to
save some money while building our knowledge is to sign up at a local
community college in the machine shop program (assuming, of course, you have
one nearby that offers such a course).

I have been able to make many of my own parts which are not difficult to do.
 I now have access to a machine shop, have learned a lot about machining and
have given myself an alternative to Brock.  I highly recommend this to anyone
building a plane, even a composite.
