After the first year I added an extra shim to the bottom left wing attach bolt. It still wanted to bank right at the higher speeds. Three weeks ago, with the assistance of 10 other EZ drivers, I added another shim to the bottom left outboard wing bolt. Still there was no change in the right bank tendency, but now I had the yaw ball on the right. I made every measurement of the plane that I could think of and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I would show the figures but I would be here all night. I could not measure the alignment of the winglets and that is where I now think the problem might be. The Solution???? Unless somebody comes up with a better suggestion, or something I have not measured, I plan to pull the two extra washers I put on the left wing. If this puts me back to a ball that is slightly to the left of center that I seem to remember having when I first started flying, I will then add a shim to both the top and bottom of the right wing attach bolts. This should correct for a misaligned winglet. HAS ANY ONE GOT A BETTER IDEA? This is driving me crazy - I know there are a lot of guys that are flying with this problem but although it is not a big problem I want to solve it. Like the guy who was struck by lightening I would like to be able to let go of the stick and know that the plane will fly level. (I have a wing leveler which would be no good without power.) Would this be a COZY conundrum? If this is how you adjust "wash" in a cozy. I think however you may have forgotten about the "other" flying surface. The canard may be just as capable of producing this kind of indication as the wing. Since adjustments to the wing had no aparrent effect on the characteristic, I would not think further adjustments would be beneficial. Is there provision to "wash" the canard? This may be worth a look. keep us informed. def. madness - To continue doing the same things, expecting different results.
