I too am more concerned about creating a cg position outside the envelope than what I anticipate will be minor changes to rotation speed and t/o and landing roll. As has been suggested elsewhere, I'm contemplating mounting my battery in the nose both to provide balast and to get rid of any opportunity for that pile of lead to cause any occupant damage in a crash situation. There was an article in a recent kitplanes magazine that outlined how to run an aluminium bar down the side of the fuselage and connect it so as to eliminate the liklihood of oxidation at the connections. Worth referring to. Incidently, I suggested this to Nat and he didn't feel it was necessary to move the battery up front (and cautioned me about oxidation). The main problem I have in locating it up front is where and how to mount it. The r/h brake cylinder would appear to get in the way if you wanted to mount it on the centreline and the alternatives are to build a base or box above the passengers feet or relocate the right hand brake cylinder to the pasengers right hand pedal. Anyone made the change yet or thought about it? Allan Aaron
